One of the most well known characters associated with predictions was Nostradamus which was the magical name of Michel de Nostre Dame. The author of the most well known book on future-casting and predictions 'The Centuries' which was written in 1555. Many believe Nostradamus was the greatest Clairvoyant and psychic of all time. It is said that he correctly predicted the Napoleonic Wars, the rise of the Third Reich, the history of British rule from Elizabeth 1 to Elizabeth 11, including the abdication of Edward V111, and the American Revolution, as well as the American Civil War and the assassination of President Lincoln and Kennedy. Nostradamus is said to have correctly foretold the advent of air travel, atom and nuclear bombs, manned space travel and rockets and submarines. He made more than 1,000 predictions that covered well past the year 3797. Nostradamus was a gifted clairvoyant who often practised scrying using a shiny surface, such as a mirror, cup of water or crystal ball for his predictions. Some metaphysical scholars say that so far more than half of his predictions have come to pass. Nostradamus had many psychic visions as a child and adolescent that were attributed to a divine gift.
