Interpreting the tarot cards - Part 2 What's important to remember when interpreting the cards is that they may not always reveal what you " Want " to know, but, they will certainly reveal what you " Need" to know ". When interpreting a tarot card spread, begin by looking at the whole spread to gain a general impression: * What visual impact does it have on you ? Does it have a lot of "dark" gloomy looking cards or bright happy cards ? What are the characters doing, do they look threatening or friendly ? * Are there a lot of problematic or cool intellectual activity of the "Sword cards" ? present. Or, energetic, cheerful, enthusiastic, career life of the "Wand cards". Or artistic, nurturing, emotional life of the "Cup cards". Or practical, resourceful, material world of the "Pentacle cards" ? * A majority of any particular suit of cards in a spread will tilt the general reading in the direction of that suit. * Are there many "Major Arcana" cards in the spread indicating that this is an important area or issue and may need looking into in more depth. * Many court cards can suggest that there are many people influencing the querants life. * Keep in mind that the simple answer may be the best answer. So don't look for complex mystical answers when your beginning to learn Tarot. * Try not to look at cards in isolation but rather how they interact with other cards to produce an overall picture of the querents life or situation that your looking into. * Don't be afraid to use your common sense, your own life experiences can help tremendously when applying solutions to peoples predicaments when used in conjunction with the advice given from the tarot cards. * Look at areas of the querants life where difficulties are being experienced and try to work out the likely causes and where things are heading and what can be done to prevent a particular negative outcome from happening. * Try to steer the querent into a path that will produce a positive outcome. You can use questions such as "what will the outcome be if (Name ) continues along these lines " ? or " What can he/she do to change this outcome to a more positive one " ? ........Next Page
